We are looking for enthusiastic engineers to join Greenbox Technology’s Engineering team in building world-class products for the residential household market. The candidate will be engaged at a very deep technical level in engineering a standardized Linux builds and analyzing and recommending patches and changes to the builds once deployed. Thus, the candidate must have expert working knowledge of Linux as well as experience with the Linux open source community, industry, and projects. Knowledge of programming, development methodologies, provisioning and packaging approaches, and systems management techniques are also prerequisites. The position requires good communication skills as interaction across various organizations within the firm is a requirement of the role. The ideal candidate should possess a mix of technical strength and business acumen.
Requirements:
- Strong C/C++ programming skills a must
- Experience with Web platform technologies (DHTML, JavaScript, AJAX, PHP)
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Perl, JavaScript)
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux operating system API’s
- Windows and/or MacOS development experience a plus
- Unix/Linux system administration skills and familiarity with Linux OS distributions
- Working knowledge of embedded system configurations of Linux
- Knowledge of SQL database systems (MySQL, Sqlite)
- Highly motivated individual who wants to participate in a creative, innovative, fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate and collaborately effectively with teammates
