We are looking for enthusiastic engineers to join Greenbox Technology’s Engineering team in building world-class products for the home market. You will be responsible for designing, developing, troubleshooting and testing firmware for consumer household products. The Embedded System Engineer will also work closely with external contract design and manufacturing firms on designing, developing, troubleshooting and testing company hardware designs. We are looking for well-rounded developers who have a proven track record of delivering successful and robust consumer oriented products. The ideal candidate should possess a mix of technical strength and business acumen.
Responsibilities:
- Generate and apply creative ideas in the design, development, and support of digital products for use consumer household products.
- Coordinate with external contract manufacturer for hardware design.
- Ensuring designs meet established specifications, timeliness and budgets.
- Develop embedded software/firmware.
- Troubleshoot and analyze technical problems and recommend solutions.
- Work with the latest RF networking technologies.
- Collaborate with the engineering team and participate in project reviews.
Requirements:
- Direct hardware (firmware) design & development experience in Embedded Systems a must.
- Experience working with small processors (MSP430, 8051)
- Low level/architectural development experience.
- B.S. in electrical or equivalent electronic engineering experience.
- 10 years experience developing digital devices including taking the devices through the full life cycle and bringing it to market.
- Hands-On experience with Hardware/Software debugging at the register level is a must & also proficiency with C, C++ and assembly language.
- Knowledge of I2C, SPI, USB, UNIX, and Zigbee or Z-wave a plus.
- Solid oral and written communication skills are required.
